Livingstone Landscaping Ltd. Careers
Landscape Construction Sales Rep
Description
We’re hiring a Landscape Construction Sales Representative — a full-time, year-round role for someone who likes turning a backyard into a place people actually want to be.
If you enjoy client conversations, design thinking, and putting numbers to a plan, this sales role has a creative side. You’ll meet homeowners, walk their sites, shape concepts, build estimates, and carry proposals through to signed work. We’re willing to train the right person, and for the right experience we’re open to helping with relocation within Canada.
The role
You’ll own the sales and pre-construction side of residential landscape construction: consultations, design concepts, estimating, and proposals. You sit between the client and our design and operations teams so projects are scoped clearly, priced competitively, and ready to build profitably.
Day-to-day looks like:
- Meeting clients to understand goals, budget, and timeline, then following up so good proposals don’t go quiet
- Site visits: measurements, photos, and the details that make a concept real
- Landscape concepts and presentations — planting, hardscape, grading ideas, and outdoor living spaces
- Quantity takeoffs, labour, equipment, materials, and subcontractor budgets
- Proposals and scopes in our estimating systems, reviewed with the Sales Manager before they go out
- Clean handoff to operations after award, plus change-order pricing when the project shifts
- Staying current on materials, products, and how people actually use outdoor space
Winter hours are reduced. The rest of the year is full-time and client-facing.
Who thrives here
We will train you on design, estimating, and our systems. On day one, we need a positive attitude, clear communication, and a willingness to learn.
You’ll do well if you:
- Like people and can present a plan without overselling it
- Are organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling several projects
- Can work with costs, margins, quantities, and labour — or are ready to learn that quickly
- Are comfortable in Microsoft Office and open to tools such as LMN, PlanSwift, Dynascape, SketchUp, or similar
- Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s licence
Helpful, not required: post-secondary study in landscape design, landscape architecture, horticulture, construction, sales, or business; experience in landscaping, construction, estimating, sales, or project coordination; familiarity with design or estimating software; working knowledge of plants, hardscape, and outdoor living products.
Relocation
For the right candidate with the right experience, we will help with relocation within Canada.
Compensation
$20.00 - $35.00 per hour
